Today With Kris Aquino was a Philippine talk show hosted by actress Kris Aquino which premiered on April 1, 1996 on ABS-CBN. It was dubbed as "the first interactive talk show" and was considered as the Philippines' version of the Oprah Winfrey show.
It was also where Aquino got her title as the "Philippines' Queen of Talk." The theme song was sung by Zsa Zsa Padilla.
History
This show became the launching show for Aquino since she left GMA Network in 1996. In April 1997, it transferred its timeslot from afternoon (4:00 PM) to morning (11:00 AM), replacing the defunct talk show Teysi ng Tahanan. It also expanded its running time from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
In March 2001, the show ended due to Noli de Castro's decision to run for the senate and leave TV Patrol. Korina Sanchez, who was then hosting Balitang K, was appointed to host TV Patrol. With these changes, Aquino was appointed to replace Sanchez, changing her title to Balitang Kris. Today with Kris Aquino was replaced by Talk TV.
In May 2011, Aquino tweeted that the show will be on air again on June 2011, a decade after the show ended. Aquino will reprise her hosting duty .

ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Kris nagpapasalamat ako at natagpuan ko na ang totoong official fan page ng show mo napakarami na kasing beses na ako ay nalinlang ng mga manloloko na gumagawa at nanggagaya sayo... i know karma will soon be on them. Gusto ko lang po na malaman mo na dito sa school ng Cansojong National High School sa Cebu walang bukangbibig basta free time namin ay ikaw:-)nagustuhan rin naming magkakaibigang guro ang episode mo about friendship. Talagang ang tunay na kaibigan walang iwanan sa hirap at saya magkakasama may mga differences kami ngunit nagkakaisa sa kung ano ang makabubuti para sa isa't-isa. Hiling lang po namin na magkakaibigan ay makita ka ng personal at makapagpapicture taking sa studio mo sa kris tv... Sana naman mapagbigyan kami in celebration sa World Teacher's Day.
